Instagram had a major disruption
On the night of Monday, May 22, the popular social network Instagram experienced a major disruption. Users around the world reported problems with the app.
According to the Down Detector website, which monitors website failures, there were more than 180,000 requests for problems with the social network in just one hour.
There is no official data on what exactly caused the malfunction yet. Users reported that neither the mobile nor the web version of Instagram worked.
In particular, the photo feed and insta-stories were not updated, the search did not work, and all the information and photos on personal pages disappeared.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, in the social network Instagram, owned by Meta Corporation (USA), hashtag #russiaisaterroriststate was blocked. It is used under the publications about the war crimes of the Russian occupiers, which killed dozens of Ukrainians.
