Indian company Mahindra is known for its cheap cars. Thar.e SUV is a new rival of Land Rover and Jeep, which will be much more affordable. The electric model was shown in the photo.
The novelty is reported by Carscoops. The manufacturer shows its intentions to occupy the niche of affordable electric SUVs. The design for the car is rather brutal: all within the framework of the most fashionable trends.
The square silhouette looks strong, while the simple style is complimented with elements of geometric forms. It resembles the famous models of Jeep and Land Rover. However, the new Thar.e does not copy anyone directly.

The Mahindra Thar.e will go into mass production in a slightly modified form but will retain the general styling. It is known that electric motors for the SUV will be supplied by Volkswagen.
In the top-end version, the Indian car will offer about 400 hp. 200 hp should be expected in the base version, as this modification of the model will be the cheapest in the lineup.
The manufacturer will prepare bodies with three and five doors, with a wheelbase of 2775 and 2975 mm respectively. There will also be several batteries with a capacity of 60 and 80 kWh and a range of up to 400 km.
