How to remove dirt and grease from the sink: an effective remedy
On the list of the dirtiest places in the house, the kitchen sink is one of the first. It is constantly in contact with food residues and bacteria and its surface needs regular cleaning.
You can use chemicals with a disinfectant effect but they can damage the material from which the sink is made. Therefore, household experts recommend trying a homemade product with the addition of natural ingredients. OBOZ.UA tells you how to prepare and use it.
For deep cleaning, you will need:
- baking soda
- white vinegar
- dishwashing detergent
- water
Mix the amount of baking soda you need with the dishwashing liquid to make an abrasive paste. Spread it over the entire surface of the sink and scrub with a soft sponge to dissolve grease and remove stains.
Dilute vinegar with water in a 1:1 ratio and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Generously spray the remaining baking soda paste in the sink. The two products will react and begin to foam. Wait until the process is complete. This will wash away dirt even from microscopic scratches on the surface and kill germs.
After the reaction is complete, rinse the sink from the remnants of the cleaning agent. It will also be good to wipe it dry so that water droplets do not leave traces of lime after drying.
