How to protect indoor flowers from the cold from the window

Indoor flowers require special care in winter. A sharp change in temperature, a decrease in the amount of sunlight and heat lead to yellowing, falling leaves, and root rot.

OBOZ.UA has found a useful life hack that will help protect flowerpots from the cold. If you feel a strong draft from the window, then the plant needs to be moved to another place or create favorable conditions for its stay on the windowsill.

Foil insulation

It is a piece of this material that you will need to protect the flowers. This is a combined insulation that consists of a base and a thin layer of foil. Due to the reflection effect, heat is retained in the room.

You may have this material left over from a renovation or buy a small piece at any hardware store.

Fix the insulation to the window with double-sided or masking tape. If you regularly open the window for ventilation, then try simply pressing the insulation between the window and the window sill and place flower pots to support the material.

This simple but effective method will extend the life of your plants and prevent them from wilting from the cold. An additional advantage is that the room will become warmer and there will be no drafts.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA published a list of indoor flowers that are best suited for winter and purify the air.
