How to make a cactus bloom

A cactus is a perennial flowering plant that is often chosen for its unusual appearance and unpretentiousness in growing. But the flowerpot may not please with its flowering if you do not create the right conditions for it.

OBOZ.UA has found simple tips that will promote the appearance of buds. Not all cacti are able to bloom. If they have golden spines or thick white pubescence, then do not expect flowers.

There is a common belief among housewives that the more you take care of the plant, the better it will grow and develop. This may be true for other flowerpots, but it's definitely not true for a cactus. A tropical plant may fail to bloom due to frequent watering, a large pot, a sunny window sill, or excessive fertilization.

It is not difficult to make a cactus bloom, the main thing is to choose the right time for it. From November to March, arrange a "dry season" for it. Water the flowerpot once every three to four weeks with a drop of water. This is enough to prevent the plant from wilting.

In addition, stop fertilizing the cactus and plant it in a smaller pot. Choose a suitable place for the pot: a sunny windowsill is fine. However, avoid hot radiators.

Do not disturb the cactus or move it frequently. When the first bud appears, turn the flowerpot away from the light so that it does not wilt.
