Potato pancakes are a very tasty and hearty dish, traditionally served with sour cream. They can be deliciously and newly prepared with stuffing - minced meat, fillet or cheese, in pots or complemented with other vegetables.

Food blogger Catherine with the nickname catheryna.chef on her Instagram page shared a recipe for potato pancakes with an unexpected ingredient - beets.

Potato and beet potato pancakes recipe

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 4-5 pcs
  • beet - 1 pc
  • onion - 1 pc
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • flour - 2 tablespoons
  • salt, pepper, spices

Cooking method:

1. Grate the potatoes on a grater and squeeze out the excess liquid.

2. Shred the onion and grate the beets and add to the potatoes.

3. Add eggs, flour, salt, pepper and spices. Stir and leave for 5 minutes.
