Fried "slasteny": how to cook an old Ukrainian dessert

Slasteny are an old Ukrainian dessert recipe, which is fried balls of dough in boiling oil. Some housewives make them with semolina, some with cottage cheese, or with dough. Sweeteners are served sprinkled with powdered sugar. The dessert is very budget-friendly and quick to make.
One of the cooking blogs(appetizing_melody) on Instagram posted a recipe for slasteny, which you can easily make with simple sour cream dough.
Ingredients:
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- salt
- flour - 360 grams
- sour cream - 2 tbsp.
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- powdered sugar for decoration
Method of preparation:
1. Separate the whites from the yolks. Beat the whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.
2. Beat the yolks with a pinch of salt until smooth.
3. Mix yolks and sour cream, add flour and baking powder. Stir to combine.
4. Add the egg whites and knead the dough.
5. Heat a frying pan with plenty of vegetable oil. Pinch off small pieces of dough and fry the sweetbreads.
