Fiat's low-cost electric car breaks range record

The Fiat E-Scudo electric vehicle is a relatively inexpensive offer in the segment of commercial vans not equipped with internal combustion engines. The model recently broke the range record in its sector.
The test was conducted in the UK. The journey took 13 hours and 9 minutes on a combined route both country roads and urban areas to reproduce real conditions as closely as possible. The achievement is reported by InsideEVs.
It is important to note that the Fiat E-Scudo electric car in a full factory version with Bridgestone Duravis energy-saving tires took part in the ride. The three drivers, who have already set fuel efficiency records, took turns while driving.
The Fiat E-Scudo electric van has covered 500.8 km on a single charge in a record run. At the same time, the manufacturer claims an official range of 330 km.
Thus, the E-Scudo showed a 51% better result. It broke the record of GM BrightDrop Zevo 600, which earlier overcame 415 km.
Fiat equips its model with a 75 kWh battery pack and a 136 hp electric motor. The price is about 40,000 dollars for the base variant.
