Duster 2023 budget crossover failed an important test
The Dacia Duster budget crossover was presented in an updated form for the 2023 model year. The appearance has changed quite a bit. Technical changes were tested.
The experts from the km77.com YouTube channel test cars in the so-called moose test. The goal is to drive around a sudden obstacle on the road at high speed and return to the original trajectory.
If the car obeys the steering wheel perfectly, does not show dangerous or unpredictable behavior and passes the test at a high speed, the test is considered a success. Not all cars pass the test.
The Dacia Duster 2023 failed the test at the standard speed of 77 km/h. It managed to pass the test at a lower speed of 71 km/h.
The Dacia Duster's suspension turned out to be too soft

The main reason is that the suspension is too soft. This is a common solution for cheap cars that are primarily designed for bad roads in poor countries. The downsides are low body control and insufficient suspension settings for quick maneuvering.
