Better than store-bought: how to make dishwashing detergent at home

The trend for environmentally friendly and safe household chemicals is encouraging many people to switch to homemade products. Some of them can be just as good as factory-made ones.

That's how OBOZREVATEL learned a homemade recipe for dishwashing liquid. It is made with baking soda and used as usual. It is environmentally friendly and suitable even for washing children's plates and cups.

To prepare the liquid, you will need:

• a bar of baby soap
• water
• 1 tablespoon of vodka
• 4 tablespoons of pharmacy glycerin
• 2 tablespoons of baking soda

Grate the soap and dissolve the resulting shavings in 0.5 liters of warm water. The resulting solution is brought to a boil in a water bath, and then water is added to get exactly 0.5 liters of liquid. After that, the product can be removed from the heat.

While the mixture is still warm, add vodka and glycerin to it and mix everything thoroughly. Lastly, baking soda is added to the product.

When the liquid has cooled down, it remains to be poured into a bottle with a dispenser. Then you can use the product as usual - applying it to a sponge or adding it directly to the dishes.
