To make dumplings tasty and juicy, it's not enough to just prepare the dough and filling. Much depends on how you cook the semi-finished product. After all, there are often situations when in the process the dumplings begin to burst and boil, and only the filling remains tasty. This is especially true for frozen dumplings.

This happens because housewives are used to throwing frozen dumplings into boiling water. The FoodOboz editorial team has gathered information and will tell you why you shouldn't do this and what the risks are.

The thing is that frozen dumplings are usually dry and not plastic. Therefore, throwing them into boiling water only makes the situation worse – they begin to burst, boil soft, and stick together.

To avoid this outcome, dumplings should not be thrown into boiling water, but into plain hot water. If the dumplings are already in boiling water, don't worry –  just add a glass of cold water to the pot.

If you often have to cook dumplings at home, you should pay attention to the dough. Choux pastry is the best choice for this dish – it doesn't require many ingredients, is quick to prepare, and is easy to work with – elastic, soft, and does not boil soft.

Food blogger Dina Liashyk (dina_liashyk) shared a recipe for lean choux pastry on her Instagram page that does not require eggs, yeast, or milk.
