Why you shouldn't eat unwashed fruits and vegetables: a blogger shows the "unpleasant" reason
Washing vegetables and fruits before eating them is a common practice. However, sometimes there are exceptions to this rule, because you want to eat a cucumber or tomato directly from the garden. Still, it is better not to break this habit, because eating unwashed fruits and vegetables carries a risk of food poisoning.
For example, a well-known blogger recently posted a video on TikTok showing what you will get in your mouth if you eat broccoli without washing it first, the Mirror reports.

The video shows a blogger demonstrating a good "unpleasant" reason why you will never eat broccoli without washing it again. He took a broccoli floret and started banging it on the plate.

Within seconds, you could see a huge number of tiny black beetles falling onto the plate and crawling around. Of course, you wouldn't want to eat raw, unwashed broccoli after that.

A similar effect will be observed with other fruits and vegetables that do not have a complete structure. Of course, it is impossible to shake bugs out of cucumbers or tomatoes because they are not there. But this fact is not a reason to eat them unwashed.
