What to stuff peppers with to make them tasty and budget-friendly: a quick idea
The pepper season will soon be in full swing. This vegetable has a very strong and dense texture, so it is ideal for stuffing. The dish turns out to be quite budget-friendly because you can choose ordinary cheese for the filling. Thus, you get an appetizing crispy crust on top.
The idea of cooking stuffed peppers with cheese was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Tetyana (tania_sheremet_).
Ingredients:
- sweet peppers - 4 pcs.
- cottage cheese - 9%
- carrots - 1 pc
- eggs - 4 pcs
- parsley
- sour cream - 2 tbsp
- dried garlic, salt, pepper to taste
- oil
Cooking method:
1. Cut peppers into two parts, remove the seeds, and place them on a baking sheet or in a baking dish. Add salt and drizzle with oil.
2. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, eggs, grated carrots, finely chopped parsley, sour cream, dried garlic, salt and pepper to taste,
3. Stuff the peppers with the mixture and put them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Sprinkle with hard cheese 5 minutes before cooking.
