What to replace parchment with if you run out of it
Parchment paper is usually found in every housewife's kitchen. Any baking always turns out well with it because the material does not stick to the dough, and the baking sheet can be simply rinsed with water afterwards. However, if you suddenly run out of parchment and need to cook right now, you can also find a way out.
The FoodOboz editorial team will tell you what you can replace baking paper with. All options are effective.
What you can use instead of parchment:
- baking sleeve or regular bag
- a packet of flour
- white office paper
- tracing paper
If you use the suggested options, the dough will definitely not stick and will bake well. However, if you don't have these materials at home, you can use one of the following methods:
1. Grease a baking sheet thickly.
2. Sprinkle breadcrumbs or semolina.
3. Buy silicone molds: they don't need to be greased and they are easy to use.
Can I use foil?
If you put the foil properly (with the matte side down), the dough will not stick. However, the material itself oxidizes during baking. This will not only affect the taste of the food but also make the food toxic.
