What to marinate hake in before baking: the taste of fish will pleasantly surprise you
The taste of any baked fish depends on what you marinate it in before cooking. And hake is no exception. The product is often combined with carrots and onions, and cheese is also added. But there is a much better idea.
Food blogger Daryna Vitovska (vistovska_cooking) shared her recipe for marinating hake before baking on her Instagram page. The marinade is based on sour cream and mayonnaise, which make the fish meat very soft.
Main ingredients:
- hake - 1 kg.
- carrots - 2 pcs.
- onions - 2 pcs.
Ingredients for the marinade:
- sour cream - 100 g
- mayonnaise - 50 g
- mustard in grains - 50 g
- soy sauce - 50 g
- grated onion - 1 pc
- salt, pepper, smoked paprika, spices for fish - to taste
Method of preparation.
1. Mix everything for the marinade.
2. Pour over the fish.
3. Stir, cover and leave in the refrigerator for several hours, preferably overnight.
4. Fry the onions and carrots.
5. Put the marinated fish on the bottom of the mold and put it on the vegetables.
6. Drizzle with the rest of the sauce.
7. Cover with moistened parchment and bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
