What to make with pita bread for breakfast: a recipe for a delicious filling
Thin pita bread is the basis for many different appetizers and even desserts. You can wrap any filling in it, fry it in a pan, or bake it in the oven. It is an ideal option for breakfast or just a snack.
Food blogger Anastasiia Barbar (nastiabarbar) shared a recipe for pita bread with a delicious juicy filling on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- pita bread
- mayonnaise
- ketchup
- sausage
- tomatoes
- cheese
- yolk
- sesame seeds
Method of preparation:
1. Take a round pita bread and make one cut from the center to the edge. Spread it with mayonnaise and ketchup.
2. Prepare the rest of the ingredients: grate the cheese, cut the sausage (the recipe uses two types) into slices, and cut the tomatoes into slices.
3. Put one type of sausage on one-quarter of the pita bread, put tomatoes on the second quarter, then cheese, and then put the rest of the sausage again. Wrap it in a triangle.
4. Brush the triangle with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
5. Bake in the oven for a few minutes.
