What to make from carrots for a snack: a dessert that children will definitely like

Carrots can not only be pickled and added to a salad, but also made into healthy biscuits without eggs or sugar. They are delicious topped with banana, berries or dried fruit. Not only adults, but also children will enjoy the pastries.

Food blogger Valeria Demenchuk (mrs.demenchuk) shared a recipe for carrot cookies with banana and dried apricots on her Instagram page.

Recipe for carrot cookies for children

Ingredients:

  • carrot - 1 pc
  • banana - 1 pc
  • baby cottage cheese/sour cream - 2 tbsp.
  • whole wheat flour - 4 tbsp. tbsp.
  • olive oil - 1.5 tbsp.
  • apricots - 5 pcs

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the dried apricots in advance and pour boiling water over them. Leave in this form for 20 minutes.

2. Grate the carrots on a fine grater, mash the banana to a puree. Mix the ingredients together.

3. Add the cottage cheese/sour cream, flour and chopped dried apricots to the mixture.

4. Form the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment.

5. Bake the cookies at 180 degrees for 25 minutes. Leave to cool. Enjoy your meal!
