What to make for a child's breakfast that would be tasty and healthy: three top ideas

Feeding your child a really healthy and balanced diet is quite a challenge. Picky kids who like candy best are unlikely to eat zucchini or broccoli. But all healthy foods, first of all, need to be presented in the right way, attractively.

Ideas for preparing three healthy and tasty breakfasts for children were shared by food blogger Maria Kluchinskaya(eat_with_karapuz) on her Instagram page. Your little ones won't refuse sweet pancakes, tender pancakes, and omelets for sure.

 

Blueberry Pancakes.

  • 100-150 ml kefir (room temperature, or preferably lukewarm)
  • 1 egg
  • 3-4 tbsp flour (I use wheat flour)
  • 1/3 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. blueberries (can be replaced with other berries)

Method of preparation:

1. In kefir add baking soda, stir, and leave for 1-2 minutes, add the egg, mix well, and add sifted flour. At the end blueberries.

2. Fry in ghee oil (you can in a dry non-stick pan) on minimum heat under a lid for 2-3 minutes, turn to the other side, and fry until tender.

Broccoli Pancakes

 

Ingredients:

  • 300 g broccoli (steamed or boiled)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. sour cream
  • 2-3 tbsp flour
  • spices - as desired

Method of preparation:

1. beat broccoli with a blender (you can mash with a fork), add the eggs, and knead well.

2. Add sour cream and mix well again.

3. Gradually add flour until it is the consistency of thick sour cream.

4. Fry in a dry frying pan over low heat under a lid for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.

Omelet with zucchini

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg.
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 2 tbsp. zucchini (grate finely and squeeze a little water out of it)
  • herbs (parsley is okay)
  • spices - as desired

Method of preparation:

1. Heat a frying pan with a small amount of ghee (you can use a dry frying pan) and cook the zucchini on low heat for 5 minutes.

2. Beat the egg and milk, and add spices + herbs.

3. Pour it into the pan.

4. Cook, stirring, for 5-7 minutes more.

5. Turn off, cover, and let rest for another 3 minutes.
