What to cook with eggs other than fried eggs and omelets: an interesting breakfast option
Eggs can be used to make not only scrambled eggs or omelets for breakfast. There is something more interesting, namely shakshouka. This is an original dish of poached eggs with spices and tomato paste. It turns out to be very satisfying.
The egg shakshouka recipe was published in one of the culinary blogs (recepty_przepisy) on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- onions - 1\2 pcs.
- tomatoes - 2-3 pcs.
- bell pepper - 1 pc.
- eggs - 4 pcs.
- salt, pepper
- herbs
- dark bread
- avocado - 1\2 pcs. on request
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the onion and fry it in butter until golden brown.
2. Dice the tomatoes and add to the onions. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
3. Chop the pepper and add to the dish. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Make 4 wells for the eggs. Break the eggs.
5. Season the eggs with salt and pepper. Fry until the whites are cooked.
6. Serve with avocado, greens and dark bread, dipped in yolk.
