Meat roll is a very satisfying and easy-to-prepare appetizer. The dish is light because it is baked. However, you need to choose the right ingredients for the base so that it holds its shape and the filling doesn't fall apart. There is one universal technology for this case.
The idea of making meat roll with semolina was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname diali_cooking. This dish is based on semolina, and there is no flour. Therefore, the texture is not clogged, very juicy and light.
Ingredients:
- eggs - 4 pcs.
- sour cream - 100 g
- hard cheese - 170 g
- semolina - 1.5 tbsp
Ingredients for the filling:
- minced chicken - 500 g
- onion - 1 pc
- garlic - 2 cloves
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Add semolina and grated cheese to lightly beaten eggs and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
2. Pour onto a baking sheet covered with parchment and bake at 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
3. Mix minced meat with onion, garlic and spices.
4. First bake the egg and cheese mixture, and then put the minced meat on top.
5. Roll up and tie well with a thread (all on parchment).
6. Bake for about 25 minutes.
7. When it cools down, put it in the refrigerator.
