Liver pate is a very nutritious and tasty dish for a quick snack. It is best to cook it in the oven - it turns out juicy and is convenient to serve in slices. To make the texture tender, add cream in addition to butter.
The idea of making a delicate liver pate with cream was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olena with the nickname thefoodhub.by_ilona. Fry the vegetables in a frying pan until golden brown.
Ingredients:
- 300 g of chicken liver
- 1 carrot
- 1 large onion
- 160 g of 30% cream
- 2 eggs
- salt, pepper - to taste
- 1 apple
- 80 g of butter
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and chop carrots and onions, fry in olive oil until soft, reduce heat, add cream and simmer, stirring constantly, for 5-7 minutes.
2. Remove the vegetables from the heat and let cool.
3. Peel the liver, put it in a blender bowl, add the vegetable mixture, eggs and beat until smooth.
4. Add salt and pepper.
5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and place it in a baking sheet with water and bake in a water bath for 40-50 minutes.
6. Allow the finished pate to cool completely.
7. To make an apple-butter crust, fry the sliced apple in butter until soft, then mash it.
8. Add 80 g of butter and melt it.
9. Pour this over the pate and refrigerate for 4-6 hours.
