Especially interesting is oatmeal with protein, which Jennifer also likes to eat for breakfast. This recipe was taught to her by her ex-husband Justin Theroux: oatmeal must be boiled. Ingredients:

 
  • 1 cup oatmeal.
  • 1 ½ cups vegetable broth
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 bundle of kale (approximately 4 cups chopped and packed)
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 large eggs (for frying)
  • Red pepper flakes (for stuffing)

Method of preparation:

1. Mix the vegetable broth and water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, add the oatmeal and salt, turn down the heat, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.

2. Prepare the cabbage by removing the stems and cutting the leaves into strips. When the oatmeal is cooked - heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a wide saucepan. Add the garlic, cook for about a minute. Add the sliced cabbage and stir. Add ¼ cup water, cover and let cabbage simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. Remove kale from heat and transfer to a bowl. Add the remaining olive oil and fry the eggs to your liking.

4. Place the oatmeal in plates. Place the cabbage and fried egg on each portion.
