What ingredient must be added to forshmak for the perfect taste: we share the technology
The ingredients for the classic Odesa forshmak are usually simply whipped in a blender. But it will be much better if you finely chop them with a knife. Also, don't forget to add one important ingredient that makes the whole dish taste good.
The idea of making forshmak with sour apple was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Iryna Dimitrova (iriska_dimitrova). It is quite inexpensive to make such a spread.
Ingredients:
- 300 g of lightly salted herring fillets
- 2 boiled eggs
- 0.5 onions
- 1 small sour apple
- 70 g of softened butter
- salt, pepper - to taste
- 0.5-1 tsp. lemon juice
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop the herring fillet with a knife.
2. Grate boiled eggs and apple on a fine grater.
3. Chop the onion.
4. Put all the ingredients in a bowl.
5. Add lemon juice, butter, salt and pepper.
6. Mix well and serve with dried dark bread.
