What filling for dumplings, besides minced meat, can be used: an unusual filling option
We're all used to the idea that the filling for dumplings is just minced meat. But this dish can be made much juicier and more tender. To do this, you can add several types of cheese to the meat at once.
The idea of making dumplings with cheese filling was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname alin_withkitchen.
Ingredients:
- boiling water – 250 ml
- flour – 500 g
- sunflower oil – 50 ml
- butter – 20 g
- salt – a pinch
Ingredients:
- minced meat – 300 g
- cottage cheese – 150 g
- Parmesan/hard cheese – 60 g
- onion – 1 pc
- water – 100 ml
- nutmeg – 1 tsp.
- salt, pepper, dry garlic – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Dissolve the salt in hot boiling water.
2. Add vegetable oil.
3. Sift the flour.
4. Stir with a fork, then add soft butter and knead the soft dough. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 20 minutes.
5. For the filling, mix all the ingredients and mix well.
6. Divide the dough into pieces. Roll out a layer, shape, and cut out dumplings using a mold.
7. Cook the dumplings in salted water until tender. Serve with sour cream, butter, and herbs.
