Useful cottage cheese dessert in a water bath: how to make it
If you follow a healthy diet but can't live without sweets, this is the dessert for you. It is prepared without frying and baking but in a water bath. The mass is steamed and becomes fluffy and very tender.
The idea of making a water-bath cottage cheese dessert was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Natalia with the nickname smak_nata. Instead of wheat flour, you should use rice flour, which is much healthier.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese - 180 g
- egg - 1 pc
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - a pinch
- zest of 1/2 lemon
- rice flour - 1 tsp, 6 g
Method of preparation:
1. Mash cottage cheese with a fork. Add egg, sugar, salt, zest, and rice flour. Combine all ingredients. Put into an ovenproof dish greased with butter. You can use parchment instead of butter.
2. Transfer to the frying pan. You can also cook in a thick-bottomed saucepan.
3. Pour boiling water into the frying pan.
4. Cover with a lid.
5. Cook in a water bath over high heat until the casserole is well-risen (about 20 minutes).
6. Run a spatula around the edge, cover it with a plate and turn the dish over.
7. Serve with a flavorful orange caramel and enjoy. It's extremely tasty.
