Mackerel is a fish with a lot of meat and few bones. Therefore, this product is often chosen for marinating. The following marinade is quick to prepare and will require budget ingredients. You can eat the fish the next day.
The idea of cooking spicy pickled mackerel was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Vitalina with the nickname vitala_foodblog.
Ingredients for the marinade:
- 0.5 l. water
- 2 tbsp. of salt
- 1 tbsp. of sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 3-5 peas of allspice
- 7 peas of black pepper
- 1 tbsp. mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp. of vinegar 9%
- 1 onion
Method of preparation:
1. For the marinade, boil all the ingredients and cool.
2. Mackerel (1 pc.), wash, and cut while still frozen.
3. Put in a glass container, sprinkling with chopped onions.
4. Pour the cold marinade over the fish.
5. Put it in the fridge and eat it the next day.
