Universal marinade for drumsticks in tomato juice: the meat is very tender

Chicken drumsticks have a lot of juicy meat and, compared to pork, they cook quite quickly. Therefore, this is the product to choose for baking. But it is very important to marinate the meat properly to make it juicy. Tomato juice is perfect for this purpose.

The idea of preparing a tomato marinade for chicken drumsticks was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha Pavliv  (olha_pavliv_). It does not burden the meat with excess fat, and at the same time, adds juiciness.

Ingredients:

  • chicken drumsticks - 0.5 kg
  • tomato juice - 50 ml
  • tomato paste - 1 tbsp.
  • ground sweet paprika - 1 tsp.
  • seasoning for chicken (which one you like best) - 1 tsp.
  • garlic - 1-2 cloves
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
  • curry seasoning - 1 tsp.
  • salt and pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Add the tomato juice, tomato paste, paprika, chicken seasoning, curry, oil, salt, pepper and chopped garlic to the chicken drumsticks.

2. Mix everything well.

3. Cover with cling film and place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours (preferably overnight).

4. Put a sleeve in the mold where you place the marinated drumsticks, and pour the marinade in the same place.

5. Tie the sleeve well, straighten it, and put it in the oven 180-200° for 40-45 minutes.
