Chimichurri is a spicy, savory sauce based on herbs and spices. It is cooked in oil, which makes it very versatile. Therefore, it is an ideal addition to meat and fish, as well as a very effective salad dressing.

The idea of making a versatile chimichurri sauce was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname dribka.soli.

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of olive oil
  • 1 shallot or half a blue onion
  • 30 g of parsley leaves
  • half a tablespoon of dried oregano
  • 1 tsp chili flakes or half a fresh finely chopped chili
  • 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Finely chop the parsley and onion.

2. Also chop the chili, if you have fresh chili, and garlic, if you use it: Do not blend with a blender in any case, as you will get a puree.

3. Add the rest of the ingredients.

4. Mix well.

5. Leave to brew for an hour.
