Kruchenyky are a Ukrainian alternative to traditional cutlets. The meat pieces are wrapped in a delicious filling and stewed in a sauce. The dishes are very juicy and perfect with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet 2 pcs.
  • mushrooms 300 g
  • onion 1 pc
  • carrot 1 pc
  • a piece of butter
  • sour cream - 2 tbsp
  • flour - 1 tbsp
  • hot water - 150 ml
  • herbs and spices - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Fry the onions and carrots, add the mushrooms, salt and simmer until all the water has evaporated, add a piece of butter.

2. Cut and pound the chicken fillet, add the vegetables and mushrooms, and roll up the rolls.

3. Fry the rolls on high heat on both sides until golden brown, remove.

4. Add sour cream, flour and water to the same frying pan and mix.

5. Put the rolls and simmer under the lid for 20 minutes over low heat.
