The perfect cheese sauce: add one secret ingredient

Cheese sauce is a great addition to pasta and vegetable dishes, as well as snacks and chips. The dish is, of course, based on hard cheese and flavorful seasonings. The sauce is very easy and quick to prepare.
Food blogger Aleksa with the nickname aleksa_litvish shared a recipe for cheese sauce that is perfect for baked vegetables on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- butter - 1 tbsp.
- flour - 1 tbsp
- cream 10% - 150 ml (or milk)
- cheddar cheese - 100 g
- Tom-Ka paste - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Melt butter with flour in a heavy-bottomed saucepan until smooth.
2. Then add cream or milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
3. Meanwhile, grate or chop hard cheese. Add to the future sauce along with Tom-Ka paste. Cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly.
4. Add salt, sugar and pepper. It's ready!
Tip. The peculiarity of this cheese sauce is the use of Tom-Ka paste. It gives the dish a slight sourness, as well as makes the taste original and quite rich. If you don't have such a paste, you can replace it with Worcestershire sauce.
