The most delicious liver cake that even children will love: how to cook
To make the liver really tasty, it needs to be cooked properly. If you just fry the product in slices in a frying pan, it will be quite bitter and tough. Therefore, the best solution is to make a liver pancake cake.
The idea of making a delicious liver cake was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yulia with the nickname zefirka_recipes. For the filling, you can choose mushrooms and processed cheese.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver – 400 g
- milk – 200 g
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- flour – 3 tbsp
- salt – a pinch
- oil – 1 tbsp.
Ingredients for the filling:
- champignons – 200 g
- carrots – 1 pc.
- onion – 1 pc.
- processed cheese – 2 pcs.
- mayonnaise – 200 g
- salt, pepper
- butter
Method of preparation:
1. Combine the liver, milk, eggs, flour, and salt in a bowl.
2. Beat with an immersion blender until smooth.
3. Add a spoonful of oil and stir again.
4. Fry the pancakes on a dry frying pan on both sides until golden brown.
5. Meanwhile, fry the mushrooms in butter, add finely chopped onions and grated carrots, salt, and pepper.
6. Cook until soft.
7. Transfer to a plate, and mix with grated melted cheese.
8. Season with mayonnaise.
9. Spread each pancake with the filling and cover with the next one.
10. Grease the last pancake with mayonnaise only and garnish to taste: grated hard cheese, and green onions.
11. Put in the refrigerator for several hours, preferably overnight.
