Ingredients for the starter

  • dry yeast - 1 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tbsp
  • warm water - 120 ml

Ingredients for the custard dough

  • flour - 80 grams
  • sugar - 2 tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • boiling water - 250 ml

Ingredients for the dough

  • yolk - 2 pcs
  • flour - 550 gr
  • butter - 1 cup

Ingredients for the filling

  • cabbage - 1 kg
  • onion - 2 pcs
  • oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • paprika

How to cook

1. Prepare the starter. Mix sugar, dry yeast and warm water and set aside in a warm place for 15 minutes.

2. Now proceed to the choux pastry. Mix flour, sugar and salt with a whisk and leave for 15 minutes.

3. Add flour, egg yolks and the starter. Knead the dough for 2 minutes.

4. Sprinkle the work surface with flour and knead a soft dough.

5. Grease your hands with vegetable oil and knead for another minute. Transfer the dough to a large bowl, cover and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.

6. Prepare the filling. Fry all the ingredients in a pan with vegetable oil until soft.

7. When the dough is ready, form balls from the dough with oiled hands.

8. Form pies, put the filling in and pinch the edges.

9. Put them on a well-heated frying pan with plenty of oil.

10. Fry on both sides over low heat until golden brown.
