The iconic Bird's Milk dessert: no baking required
Bird's milk is a dessert that many CIS people have known since childhood. It consists of sour cream and chocolate layers. The taste resembles a delicate mousse that just melts in your mouth.
The idea for the Bird's Milk dessert was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Marichka Repetska (marichka_repetska). If you don't feel like baking anything for the holidays, this dessert is the perfect option.
Ingredients for the white layer:
- 25 grams of gelatin + 100 ml of warm water
- 400 grams of sour cream
- half a cup of sugar
Ingredients for the chocolate layer:
- 25 grams of gelatin + 100 ml of warm water
- 400 ml of milk
- half a cup of sugar
- 3-4 tbsp. cocoa
Method of preparation:
1. Add gelatin to warm water, mix, and set aside for 10 minutes.
2. Mix sour cream with sugar.
3. Put the gelatin in the microwave for 30 seconds, mix, and combine with sour cream and sugar.
4. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
5. Pour into the mold and put in the refrigerator until it hardens.
6. For the chocolate layer, add gelatin to warm water.
7. Stir and set aside for 10 minutes. Mix milk with sugar and sifted cocoa.
8. Put the gelatin in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and combine with milk, sugar, and cocoa.
9. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Smooth out.
10. Pour into the mold over the frozen white layer.
11. Put in the refrigerator until it hardens.
