Tastier than sandwiches: how to make bruschettas with figs for a snack in 10 minutes

Bruschettas are a traditional Italian appetizer. Its main difference from classic sandwiches is that slices of bread are pre-dried in a frying pan. The filling for bruschetta can be different. It can be cheese, vegetables or fruit.

Food blogger Yevhenia Karpiuk (evgeniyakarpiuk) shared a recipe for bruschetta with figs and cod liver on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • figs - 1-2 pcs
  • cod liver
  • basil
  • bread
  • cream cheese

Method of preparation:

1. Wash and cut figs into cubes.

2. Drain excess oil from the canned cod liver and add to the figs. Stir.

3. Tear basil leaves and add to the total mass.

4. Cut the bread into slices and dry on a frying pan.

5. Smear the dried bread with cream cheese and place the filling. Bon appetit!
