Spicy white sauce with horseradish instead of mayonnaise: perfect for meat and aspic
White sauce with horseradish is a healthy alternative to mayonnaise. It perfectly complements cold meat appetizers and aspic. The cooking time is only 5 minutes.
Ukrainian chef Anatoliy Dobrovolskiy (dobrovolskiy_hchef) shared a recipe for horseradish sauce with eggs and sour cream on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- egg yolk - 1 pc.
- vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
- grated white horseradish - 3 tbsp.
- thick sour cream - 2 tbsp.
- salt, pepper
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- sugar - 1/2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Separate the yolk from the white. Grind the yolk with oil until smooth.
2. Add horseradish, sour cream, lemon juice and sugar to the yolk mass.
3. Add salt and pepper. Beat with a whisk until smooth to make the sauce a little thicker.
