Horseradish with beets is a spicy sauce that perfectly complements meat, aspic, sausage and lard. This sauce is especially popular because it is budget-friendly, simple and affordable as it is made from only two main ingredients.
The recipe for the beetroot and horseradish sauce was published by one of the culinary blogs on YouTube.
Ingredients:
- beets - 2 kg
- horseradish - 80-100 g
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- salt - 1 tbsp.
- vinegar/lemon juice - 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. First, wash and boil beets until tender.
2. Peel and grate them.
3. Peel horseradish and cut it into pieces. Then grate or grind in a blender.
4. If a lot of excess juice has drained out of the beets, you will need to remove a few spoons. Then add salt and sugar.
5. Add the horseradish. Stir to combine.
6. Add vinegar or lemon juice. Stir, cover and let stand for a while.
7. After the sauce and put it in jars.
