Seasonal plum pie with a crispy crust that is tastier than charlotte
Plum cake is an ideal fall pastry for cozy family tea parties. If you use the following technique, you will be able to make a very tender and fluffy batter. A crispy streusel on top will be the perfect complement.
The idea of making a fluffy plum pie was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Daria with the nickname recepti_dariko. Before baking, sprinkle the plums with sugar to give them a pleasant sweet and sour taste.
Ingredients:
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- sugar - 120 g
- salt - a pinch
- vanilla sugar - 1 tsp.
- butter - 50 g
- milk - 120 ml
- flour - 250 g
- baking powder - 1 tsp
Ingredients for the filling:
- plums - 400 g
- sugar - 1 tbsp.
Ingredients for the streusel:
- flour - 50 g
- sugar - 50 g
- butter - 30 g
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with sugar.
2. Add vanilla sugar and salt.
3. Add melted butter and milk.
4. Add baking powder and sifted flour.
5. Beat everything with a mixer or a food processor (you can first use a whisk, then a spatula).
6. Cut the plums and mix with sugar.
7. Mix sugar with flour, add cold butter and grind into crumbs for streusel.
8. Pour the batter into a mold (24-26 cm), smooth it out and add the plum filling. Sprinkle with streusel on top.
9. Bake in a preheated to a 200 degree oven for 55 minutes.
