Juicy watermelon can be eaten not only on its own, but also added to salads. The fruit is perfectly combined with cheese, greens - basil and arugula, tomatoes and cucumbers. As a dressing, you should use fragrant oil.
Foodblogger TatianaSheremet (tania_sheremet_) on her Instagram page shared a recipe for a salad with watermelon, feta and without mayonnaise.
Ingredients:
- watermelon pulp - 150-200 g
- rucola
- red onion - 1/4 pc
- felata - 100 g
For the sauce:
- lemon or lime juice - 1-1.5 tsp.
- honey - 1 tsp.
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. First, you need to cut the pulp of watermelon into medium cubes. Peel from the pips.
2. Cut the onion into quarter rings.
3. Dice the felata cheese.
4. Place arugula, watermelon, onion and cheese slices on a plate.
5. Mix all the ingredients of the sauce and pour it over the salad. Done!
