When guests are at your doorstep but you don't have time to prepare a delicious dessert for tea, this recipe is worth using.
With this recipe and a little effort, you'll have delicious buns with custard made from store-bought puff pastry on the table in a matter of minutes. That's what a food blogger with the nickname thefoodhub.by_ilona says on her Instagram.
Ingredients for the cream:
- Egg yolks – 3 pcs
- Sugar – 50 gr
- Vanilla sugar – 10 g
- Flour – 1 tbsp
- Milk – 125 ml
- Butter – 50 g
Ingredients for the base:
- Puff pastry with yeast
- Egg yolk – 1 pc
- Favorite berries
The way of preparation:
1. First, make the cream. Mix the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, and flour in a saucepan.
2. Add milk and heat over medium heat until thickened. Stir constantly and add the butter. Stir and put in the refrigerator.
3. Cut out circles from the dough. Make holes in half of them in the middle to form bagels.
4. Put a "bagel" on the whole circle of dough and make several punctures with a fork.
5. Brush with egg yolk and bake for 15 minutes in the oven at 190-200 degrees.
6. Fill the finished buns with cream, and garnish with berries and powdered sugar.
