Quick pickled mushrooms that can be eaten the next day

Mushrooms are often pickled for the winter. However, to taste this appetizer, you need to wait quite a long time. Therefore, you can use a very simple marinade and eat them in 12 hours.

The idea of cooking delicious pickled mushrooms was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna (katarina_movchan).

Ingredients:

  • 400 g of small mushrooms
  • finely chopped bunch of dill

Marinade:

  • 500 ml of water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp of salt
  • 3 cloves of garlic (crush with a knife)
  • 1/2 large onion (cut into half rings)
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • 10-15 peppercorns
  • 6 tbsp of apple cider vinegar

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the mushrooms well and cut them in half if they are large. Put them in a glass dish and add dill.

2. Prepare the marinade: pour water into a saucepan, add salt, sugar, bay leaf, peppercorns, onion and garlic.

3. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Add apple cider vinegar.

5. Pour the marinade over the mushrooms and stir.

6. Close the lid and leave to stand for 10-12 hours.
