Traditional cottage cheese casserole often requires flour to make the mass loose and hold its shape. However, this ingredient makes the dough very dense and high in calories. Therefore, it is better to use another ingredient.
The idea of making a fluffy cottage cheese casserole without flour was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Halyna with the nickname halyna_nemesh. Add boiled semolina to the cottage cheese dough.
Ingredients:
- milk - 500 ml
- semolina - 4 tbsp
- cottage cheese - 500-700 g
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- sugar - 4-5 tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- corn starch - 1 tbsp
- butter - 50 g
- vanilla sugar
- raisins - optional
Method of preparation:
1. Bring milk in a saucepan to a boil.
2. After boiling, turn off the heat and add 4 tablespoons of semolina.
3. Stir until smooth and leave to harden completely.
4. Mix cottage cheese with sugar and eggs.
5. Add vanilla sugar for flavor.
6. Add semolina and one tablespoon of starch to the cottage cheese.
7. Blend everything well with a blender.
8. Put the mixture in a baking dish and smooth it out.
9. Put a few slices of butter on top.
10. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
