Puffy apple pie with nuts: better than charlotte
Apple pie is the simplest homemade pastry that can be prepared in different ways: with or without dough, with pita bread, with custard and meringue. And even if you're tired of the usual charlotte, there is an alternative.
One of the culinary blogs (smachna_italia) published a recipe for an apple pie with nuts on Instagram, which turns out to be very fluffy and flavorful.
Ingredients:
- apples - 700 g
- sugar - 70 g
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- butter - 50 g
- nuts - 100 g
The dough:
- butter - 130 g
- powdered sugar - 130 g
- salt
- eggs - 3 pcs
- flour - 180 g
- baking powder - 1 tbsp. l.
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and cut apples into slices. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Grind nuts with a rolling pin.
2. Cover the bottom of the mold with parchment. Grease the bottom and walls with butter. Pour sugar, add a layer of nuts and apples.
3. To prepare the batter, beat the butter with the powdered sugar and a pinch of salt into a fluffy foam.
4. Continue whipping and add one egg at a time.
5. Mix flour with baking powder. Add to the mixture and mix until smooth.
6. Pour the finished batter on top of the apples.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
