Pizza dough without eggs: it turns out very crispy
Traditional pizza dough is made with eggs. But recently, the price of this product has increased significantly. Therefore, it is worth using a technology that can do without this component. The base will be very fluffy and will go well with your favorite toppings.
The idea of making pizza from dough without eggs was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Roksolana Herasymiv (roksolana.harasymiv).
Ingredients for the dough:
- 100 g of cottage cheese
- 30-40 g of hard cheese or Parmesan cheese
- 1.5 tsp of butter/ghee
- 3-4 tbsp. whole wheat flour
Ingredients for the filling:
- tomato paste or homemade ketchup
- mushrooms
- mozzarella or hard cheese
- tomato
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the hard cheese on a fine grater, add cottage cheese, butter, flour and knead the dough to make a loaf, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
2. After taking the loaf out of the refrigerator, sprinkle the surface with flour and roll out the dough to 5 mm, form a crust and make the sides.
3. Put the tomato paste, mushrooms, tomatoes, mozzarella, and mozzarella on the dough and put it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-16 minutes.
