Perfect dough for dumplings with boiling water: an easy and quick recipe

Varenyky are a traditional Ukrainian dish. It is also quite nutritious and easy to prepare, although it requires a little time. Every housewife has her own recipe for dumpling dough, but she is never averse to experimenting to try something new.
Recently, food bloggers with the nicknames alionakarpiuk and tm_schedryk shared their own recipe for dumpling dough on Instagram. It contains two unusual ingredients at once, namely Ghee and boiling water.
Ingredients:
- Ghee oil - 60 g
- Boiling water - 350 ml
- Flour - 600 g
- Salt
- Sauerkraut for the filling
Method of preparation:
1. Melt the Ghee butter in boiling water and add salt.
2. Stir the flour into the dough in parts and mix until smooth.
3. Cover the finished dough with a towel and leave to rest for one hour.
4. Form dumplings, adding sauerkraut as a filling.
You can also replace the Ghee with regular oil. This will make a lean dough for dumplings.
Dumplings made from this dough can be boiled in boiling water or steamed. The filling can be any, depending on your tastes.
