Not just mashed potatoes: a hearty potato gratin with mushrooms for lunch

If you make mashed potatoes for lunch, you also need to make cutlets, chops, or at least cook sausages. So to make your life easier, make a gratin. This is a complete dish that only requires putting everything in a mold and putting it in the oven.

The idea of making potato gratin with mushrooms for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha Pins (olya_pins). The dish is very satisfying.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of potatoes
  • 200 g of mushrooms
  • 1 onion
  • 200 ml of cream
  • 50 g of cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg

Method of preparation:

1. Thinly slice the potatoes.

2. Cut the mushrooms and onions into small pieces and fry until the mushrooms are tender.

3. Mix the cream with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

3. Preheat.

4. Put alternate layers of potatoes and mushrooms in the mold, with the last layer being potatoes.

5. Pour cream over the top and sprinkle with grated cheese.

6. Bake for 45-60 minutes at 180 degrees.
