If you want to quickly prepare a delicious Napoleon cake, you don't have to bake it. Ordinary ear-shaped cookies are perfect for the base. You just need to add cream and cherry jam.
The idea of making a no-bake Napoleon cake with cherries was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Oksana Komashchuk (komashchuk_ksu). The cream is made with milk.
Ingredients:
- ears biscuits - 500 g
- custard
- cherry confiture
Ingredients for the cream:
- milk - 1 liter
- sugar - 100 g
- flour - 100 g
- eggs - 3 pcs
- zest of 1 lemon or orange
Method of preparation:
1. Put the milk in a saucepan on the fire.
2. Beat the eggs, sugar, flour and zest with a whisk.
4. Add a thin stream to the hot milk and stir quickly over low heat until thickened.
Ingredients for the cherry confiture:
- cherries - 500
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- starch - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan.
2. Cook over low heat in a heavy-bottomed saucepan until thickened.
3. Assemble the cake and leave it for 5-7 hours to soak well.
