To make a delicious and satisfying achma, you don't need to knead the dough at all as ordinary pita bread will do for the base. The dish will be especially good if you use two types of cheese. In addition, you don't have to bake anything: you can make the dish in a frying pan.
The idea of cooking achma in a frying pan in 10 minutes is published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha with the nickname olicooky.
Ingredients for the filling:
- 4 eggs
- 200 ml of milk
- salt and black pepper to taste
Ingredients for the filling:
- 200-300 g of cottage cheese
- 200 - 300 g of sulguni cheese (or mozzarella)
Ingredients for flatbread:
- 3 standard pita bread sheets (you can use 2)
- 30 g of butter
Method of preparation:
1. Add salt and pepper to eggs. Add milk and stir well.
2. Divide cottage cheese and sulguni cheese into 5 parts.
3. Divide each sheet of pita bread in half.
4. Grease a frying pan with butter. Dip the pita bread in the filling and put it in the pan.
5. Sprinkle 1 part of the cheese and sulguni filling on top. Then put another pita bread soaked in the filling on top of the filling.
6. Put the filling on top. Thus, alternate the filling and pita bread.
7. Pour the remaining filling on top of the last pita bread sheet.
8. Let stand for 5-7 minutes. Top with 15 g of butter.
9. Bake the achma under a closed lid over low heat for 15-20 minutes.
10. Then run a spatula around the edges and cover the pan with a plate.
11. Turn the pan over and return the achma to the pan with the back side down.
12. Bake for 10-15 minutes under the lid closed.
13. The finished achma is puffy, juicy and with a rich cheese flavor.
