Fish cutlets are much more nutritious and healthy than meat cutlets. They will also be very tasty if you make them from silver carp. The fish is very tender and has a lot of polyunsaturated fatty acids like redfish but the price is many times cheaper.
The idea of cooking juicy silver carp cutlets is published on the tastystories.feed culinary page on Instagram. The products will not be dry because the fish is moderately oily.
Ingredients:
- silver carp - 2 kg (whole fish)
- onions - 2 pieces
- loaf - half, or toast bread (I have 7 pieces)
- milk - 100 ml
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- seasoning for fish - 1 tsp.
- salt - to taste
- oil for frying
- breadcrumbs - about 100 g
Method of preparation:
1. Separate the fillet from the fish, peel off the skin and remove the bones.
2. Pour milk over the bread and press it out after 10 minutes.
3. Chop the silver carp fillet in a meat grinder along with the onion and bread.
4. Add eggs, seasoning and salt to the minced meat.
5. Form patties with wet hands and roll in breadcrumbs.
6. Fry over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. You can keep it under the lid for a while.
7. These cutlets go perfectly with mashed potatoes.
