Meat and mushroom galette: what to cook if you have some pancakes left
If you have fried pancakes left over but are out of filling, you should check out this recipe.
Food blogger Valentyna posted a recipe for a galette with meat, mushrooms and pancakes on her Instagram. It's a rather interesting and original dish that is easy to prepare.
Ingredients for pancakes
- flour - 125 gr
- eggs - 2 pcs
- milk - 170 ml
- boiling water - 170 ml
- salt - a pinch
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
Ingredients for the filling
- chicken (fillet or thighs) - 250 g
- mushrooms - 200 gr
- hard cheese - 150 gr
- broccoli - 100 g
- sour cream - 300 g
- eggs - 2 pcs
- corn starch - 1 tbsp
- salt
- pepper
Method of preparation
1. Mix all the ingredients for pancakes until smooth.
2. Fry the pancakes until cooked on both sides.
3. For the filling, cut all the ingredients into medium-sized pieces.
4. Blanch broccoli in salted water.
5. Fry mushrooms until they are tender and the liquid is evaporated.
6. Fry chicken until it is golden brown.
7. For the filling, mix sour cream with eggs, starch, salt and pepper.
8. Put the pancakes (see photo below) in the baking dish in halves on top of each other. Put another pancake inside.
9. Spread the filling and sprinkle with grated cheese.
10. Pour the sour cream mixture and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
