Liver pate in a new way: what to add to the appetizer for a bright flavor

Chicken liver pate is a very budget-friendly, yet tasty and easy-to-prepare appetizer and sandwich spread. It can be supplemented with carrots, apples, cranberries, butter, crackers, and even jelly, which will give the pate an incredible aroma and original taste.
Food blogger Halyna Syrotyuk (sugaring.ostrog.solodkaledi) shared a recipe for liver pate with caramelized onions on her Instagram page, which makes the appetizer sweet and not bitter.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 400 g
- onion - 1 pc
- carrots - 1 pc
- cream - 50 ml
- butter - 50 g
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the onion into half rings and fry until golden brown with the addition of sugar.
2. Chop and add carrots and liver to the onion. Simmer for a few minutes under a closed lid.
3. Add salt, pepper, and cream. Simmer until tender.
4. Transfer the resulting mass to a blender bowl and beat until smooth with the addition of butter.
